CCC19  =   College Competition for COVID-19

#ProjectCCC19 is our passion project, aiming to help spread awareness and fund raise as much money as we can to help fight this pandemic. Many organisations all around Thailand are in dire need of a helping hand and we are immensely grateful to every essential worker who is out on the front line, many of whom are our friends and families.

#ProjectCCC19 เป็นโปรเจคที่เกิดจากความเชื่อมั่นของพวกเราที่จะระดมทุนให้มากที่สุดเท่าที่จะทำได้เพื่อสร้างคุณค่าให้กับสังคม ยังมีองค์กรอีกมากทั่วประเทศไทยที่ต้องการความช่วยเหลือ พวกเราอยากขอบคุณบุคลากรคนสำคัญทุกๆคนที่อยู่ทั้งเบื่องหน้าและหลังการต่อสู้กับวิกฤตโรคระบาดโควิด-19 ซึ่งอาจรวมไปถึงครอบครัวและเพื่อนๆของเราที่มีส่วนร่วมในการช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วยทั่วประเทศด้วย

We know those of us in self-isolation are slowly turning insane...
(Yes, I see you posting 57 Instagram bingo)
… so we wanted to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to have fun whilst making an impact from the comfort of your own homes.
So... this is how it’s gonna go
US colleges are categorised into STATES, other countries are categorised into CITIES.
This is to ensure a fair chance due to the spread of Thai students within their respective countries.
… May the best college win …
* We do not mean to make light of this situation and we sincerely hope everyone is safe and staying home

... but how?

That's it!

Nominated Organisations
Imperial StudenT-led project:
1 - Limiting exposure of healthcare workers to airborne contamination of COVID-19

Equipment: Negative Pressure Cabinet/Chamber
Place of deployment: Vachira Hospital Phuket and expansion into nearby hospitals in surrounding areas.

In Thailand, it is a common preventative measure that patients tested positive of the virus are transferred into a negative pressure room to prevent further contamination of other patients in the hospital. However, most hospitals will only have 1-2 of these rooms and containment of the virus within hospitals became increasingly difficult with rising case numbers. In collaboration with the Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT), we have been working on producing portable negative pressure chambers which have been set up in hospitals in Phuket, Thailand.

2 - Asylum Access | Refugee Support

Refugees and asylum seekers are at heightened risk of unique challenges during the unprecedented COVID-19 crisis and require support. Examples of organisations who are currently supporting refugees include the United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and Asylum Access Thailand. This is why ProjectCCC19 has decided to partner up with Asylum Access Thailand in order to deliver face masks and soap to refugees in Thailand.

Asylum Access Thailand is a non-governmental organisation and forms part of the Asylum Access family. We work to make human rights a reality for refugees. We believe all refugees deserve a fair chance at a new life. Since most refugees cannot go home and very few are resettled, we find ways to help refugees live safely, move freely, work and attend school while they are here because when refugees can begin rebuilding their lives, communities thrive.

You can visit the Asylum Access website and Facebook to see more on the actions taken to tackle all challenges faced by refugees nationally and globally.

3 - Covid Thailand Aid | taejai

Help vulnerable groups across Thailand during COVID-19.
Donate to fund:
1. Care Package for seniors, low-income families, refugees and people in need.
2. Meals for the homeless
3. Emergency supplies for professionals battling the virus on the frontline.

About us

We’re just a small group of Thai students studying in the UK, looking to put smiles on the faces of those sacrificing their personal lives in this unforeseeable crisis.
Having already raised a sum of money within Imperial College Thai Society through various activities, such as Imperial x UAL Thai Night 2020, we are encouraging all of you to join us on the journey to make a difference.

We believe that collectively, small acts of kindness
will have a significant impact towards our community.

Imperial x UAL Thai Night 2020

All the best to you and your family,
Chayatorn Bodhidatta -- Kris Danudejsakul -- Sananuch Kulvanich -- Paris Mongkolkul -- Sirada Supanwanich
